LF19L17 Koncerts “Augšup”Tweet
The concert program of the B-Sharp Orchestra is based on the spiritual search of composers, designed to play in two Latvian churches as a one-piece cycle of composition, portraying the views of various composers as well as spirituality and emotion in music. The program consists of two stages - Latvian music and the composition of The Protecting Veil for cello solo and string orchestra by the English composer John Tavener. This meditative music will be played by a guest soloist Guna Šnē. At the beginning of the concert, the world premiere performance of the Latvian jazz musician and pianist Ritvars Garoza will take place proceeded with Vilnis Salaks "Adagio" and Roberts Liede - "Forgive"
These concerts will reach audiences in Rīga and Cēsis. St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cēsis was selected to bring together parishioners and local citizens and is expected to attract around 250 concertgoers. St. Peters Basilica in Rīga, a well-known venue, has a unique ambiance ideal for spiritual music. Neither concert will require an entrance fee.
