GRANT COMPETITION SCHEDULE
On January 1st, the Latvian Foundation announces the beginning of the grant application process
The Grants Administrator receives applications and assists applicants with any questions. February 1st is the deadline for electronically mailed applications as well as for materials (optional) sent by mail (postmarked no later than February 1st )
The Grants Administrator prepares the packet of proposals for the LF board. Small projects applying for grants are published on the Latvian Foundation’s webpage. This gives all LF members the opportunity to learn about the projects and to provide input.
The LF board evaluates submitted applications. First, small projects are voted upon and selected. Second, the LF board selects 10 large projectsfor inclusion in the voting process by LF membership. The Grants Administrator announces which small projects have been selected to receive grants, and which 10 large projects will be presented to the LF membership.
Small project grantees can begin implementation
Voting period for LF members for the Large Projects category. Voting is open until June 24th.
Votes are counted, and the Grants Administrator informs the Applicants of the status of their application.
The Latvian Foundation holds its general membership meeting. The agenda includes the past year’s activities, next year’s budget, and the amount of money available for grants the following year.
